I am trying to figure out if I can fit an aftermarket set of leafs (thinking Old Emu) made for a Sammy onto my little 84 Sj410 hardtop. So far, I have not been able to find anything and I am hoping someone can help. I am trying to keep as simple as possible so far as my budget for the SJ is pretty much gone when I buy the leafs.

What is your goal for amount of lift, or are you just trying to replace old worn springs?

Well, not quite sure as yet...I am thinking possibly 2-3" but the reality is if they were sprung at all at this point it would be good. Makes it easier if I can browse the net for the 50 billion Sammy springs than the 0 SJ springs.

So far looking at Trailgear 3" lift springs since I have found then in Cdn$ and Old Emu since I have a local supplier

I guess the other big question would be where online folks are getting their parts. I live in Whitehorse and shipping is brutal...even more so from the States which I would rather avoid if possible. Any suggestions would be awesome if that is allowed.

If I remember correctly the SJ springs are a touch narrower than Sammy springs (like a few MM). I bought the Breeze spring over kit and high steer way back in the day and it worked out just perfect. That would lead me to believe that sammy springs will work with a minimum about of problems.

Breeze is in BC, Lucy is here in Ontario and can help you with anything you need.

Hope I helped!:D

Big time, now I at least know of some more simple options for my poor rig....

Well, kind of at least. Now I need to figure out the length to make sure new Sammy springs will fit correctly

Just for info after some rediculous amount of searching. Calmini states on their web site that the springs are compaitible between the SJ and Sammy. Suzuki was saying they were 2 different part numbers but they couldn't compare as the stock springs for the SJ are no longer available.

Thanks to everyone that helped.
