So I've collected most of my parts for my rear brakes(don't tell me to go with discs) but when I asked for the adjusting hardware carquest has no listing for 4wd Toy pickups. So I went to Toyota and the want $30+ for the adjuster itself. My question is, is the 2wd hardware the same? BTW the axles are out of an '85...

So on another board I've figured out that the 2wd and 4wd brakes are different. So I guess I'm going to have to piece the parts together from the dealer. I can probably save the adjuster, but the cables snapped when I had to torch the old drums off. What did everyone else do? Did you go with discs?

Because it was supposed to be a quick swap. I wanted to do as little fabricating as possible. Now I've got less than 2 weeks to get it done for Roadkill. This winter I was going to look into discs...

I need the adjusting hardware. The screw, the tab thing that locks the screw, the spring the puts tension on the tab that locks the screw, and the cable that pulls the tab that locks the screw. Man that started into a round of, "There's a hole in the bottom of the sea." Anyways, check it out. I'm going to start looking into discs. Does anybody want to purchase brand new drums, shoes and hold down hardware?
