Is there a such thing as too big for rear brakes?
I am doing the IFS brakes in the front, 4 piston calipers and 1 inch thick rotors.
In the rear I was thinking about going to 1979-1985 Cadillac Rear calipers with 89 chevy 1/2 ton rotors, which are also 1 inch thick.

My question would be, is that too much brake for the rear?
I am running a 2007 honda odyssey master cylinder (its new and its free)
and a adjustable proportioning valve.

Or should i switch to the stock rotors from the front of the soild axle toyota which are 1/4 thick and run 03-07 honda accord calipers?

I am pretty sure that i can cut the pressure down to the rear and make it work, i don't want to do all that work to find out my rear brakes lock up before the front.

I just swaped chev 1/2 ton front rotors and 85 monte carlo front callipers onto mine....buggy , so no need for the e-brake caddy callipers. Used Sky calliper brackets. Had to machine the Chev rotors to fit the Toy axels...think it was around 4.186" ID aprox.

Check out sky manufactureing for brackets , and I would think with an adjustable prop vavle you should be fine.

i have been running the said rear disc setup using s-10 calipers and heep master cycl mated to my sammy booster and everything works mint...the rears are equal to the front and i should be plumbing in a valve but i do like the killer stopping power when backing down a large hill i maybe didnt make it up:D
just wondering what to much brakes would be......better than not enough..

too much brake and it would lock the brakes up too easily. I would not want to be going down a wet rock hill and touch the petal and be locking the tires up.
