"New" LJ80

Wife is gonna kick me soooo hard, my "poo" is gonna have FOOTPRINTS!
Just talked to a guy who says he'll sell me an LJ for $200!
I looked it over. The front fenders are shot, the floor didn't look too bad, the gas tank looks like my Sami's and is mounted on an angle iron frame on the back door,(it's a hardtop[LJ80V I believe?]). Haven't heard it run yet, but it is the exact vehicle I was looking at when I first started trying to find a replacement for my old LJ. He wasn't interested in selling it two years ago.
Oh! And it's "Blue". Why are most LJs blue?:(
I just have to figure out how to get this one past the budget!
Already well into the Sami with its "no body-full roll cage" project.Think I can convince her it's for part?:rofl:

She said "When are we going to get a chance like this again? And it's only $200? Can we use some of the parts for the other one? Buy it.":yike

I strongly suggest your first modification should be to paint it another colour.

It's already "mostly" green. Looks like it was painted with a brush or roller.
Finishing the job sounds like an idea, though. Still, I don't hold to the "Bad Luck Blue" concept. Make my own luck.
