Okay, just starting to get the running gear serviceable on this '78 tin top.
Hopefully Dazuk will be able to help out with a pair of front drum brake hubs to replace my stripped set.
The next most pressing issue is the rear tranny mounts. I see that they have both had the rubber seperate from one half of the mount leaving the tranny to rotate around in the tunnel.
Thinking of options, first one is buy a new set, but the local auto parts guys dont go back this far. Anyone seen these mounts used in anything else that I guy could cross refference ? Should new not be available, I am looking at how to clean up both halves and maybe epoxy of contact cement them back together. Somehow I dont hold much hope for gluing them back together to hold very well.
Any thoughts ?
